Did you manage to get the tickets for the Singapore Day firework show? If not, no worries! Here we bring you a list of places where the visual extravaganza can be viewed free. However, the secret tip to get a seat at these venues is to be on time.

Well, apart from the fireworks, there is a slew of events lineup for the special day (August 9). The National Day Parade will be held at The Float @ Marina Bay for the first time since 2014. The evening events will begin at 8 pm with a drone light show followed by dazzling fireworks. So here we go...

Helix Bridge & Benjamin Sheares Bridge

The iconic Helix Bridge and Benjamin Sheares Bridge are located right beside the Marina Bay floating platform providing a spectacular view of the fireworks. However, the spot is super popular, so arrive in time to grab the front seat and also be ready to face a huge wave of the crowd.

Nearest MRT: Bayfront or Promenade

Marina Bay Sands & its cluster

Another popular place is a cluster of places around the bay area. It includes Marina Bay Promontory overlooking the bay from the Central Business District area, the open space at the Event Plaza @ Marina Bay Sands, and the Lawn @ Marina Bay Financial Centre (the green area above Marina Bay Link Mall sandwiched between The Sail and Marina Bay Financial Centre). Another secret hideout is to climb to the rooftop of the mall for a spectacular view.

Nearest Train Station: Downtown or Raffles Place MRT

Stadium Waterfront

To avoid the crowd (to an extent, but not completely), the view at the Stadium Waterfront at Kallang Wave Mall is also an amazing one.

Nearest Train Station: Stadium MRT

Gardens by the Bay

Those who are lucky enough might end up getting a seat at this gorgeous location. It offers a stupendous view of the fire show with Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer at the backdrop. It is also one of the quieter areas among the list.

Nearest Train Station: Bayfront MRT

Esplanade

No doubt, this would be one of the jam-packed areas of the night. It is also one of the most popular destinations among photographers.

Nearest MRT: Raffles Place or City Hall

Faber Peak

Well, this is the only off beat location in the list. If you are adventurous enough, you can climb to the top of Mount Faber for a panoramic bird's eye view of the city's skyline. Believe it or not, you won't be disappointed.

Nearest Train Station: Harbourfront MRT

Marina Barrage

Located at 8 Marina Gardens Drive, the Barrage adds a slice of greenery to the firework experience and of course, don't forget the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands and Central Business District in the background.

Be early, be prepared and enjoy the spectacular brilliance!
