Singapore's Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said that it has seized various illicit drugs worth about S$109,000 were seized in an operation on Friday and three suspected drug offenders were also arrested following the seize.
According to CNB, the officers were deployed to the vicinity of Jelita Shopping Centre at Holland Road on Friday morning to observe two suspected drug traffickers. The authorities saw two men, including a 41-year-old Singaporean and 26-year-old Malaysian, meeting at the mall car park.
Although the Singapore had left in his vehicle but he was arrested at Ghim Moh Link by the officers. 435g of heroin and 213g of Ice were later recovered on a pavement near Dover MRT station, where the man had discarded them while trying to escape.
Meanwhile, the officers arrested the Malaysian man inside the shopping centre in possession of 128g of Ice and S$10,000 in cash.
CNB also added that another group of officers also raided the Singaporean's "hideout" at Race Course Road and seized 265g of Ice, 12g of heroin, 50 Ecstasy tablets and 40 Erimin-5 tablets. Earlier, the 33-year-old girlfriend of the Singaporean man was arrested in the area.
The CNB said that the investigations are going on.
