SIIC Environment, which installs industrial and municipal wastewater treatment systems, on Thursday said it got approval from local authorities for commercial operations in the expansion and upgrading of a water plant in Wuhan, China.
Singapore-based SIIC Environment said it had commenced operations at Hanxi Waste Water Treatment Plant on 24 August 2017.
The daily design capacity of the Hanxi Waste Water Treatment Plan would rise to 600,000 tons/day with a discharge standard of Grade 1B.
The base tariff had increased to 1.139 Chinese yuan per ton from 0.723 Chinese yuan per ton. The guaranteed minimum treatment volume for the first two years is 560,000 tons per day and would rise to 600,000 tons per day from the third year, the company said.
SIIC Environment, previously known as Asia Water Technology, designs and implements automated control systems for power plants and wastewater treatment Plants.
Shares in SIIC Environment Holdings rose about 1 percent to S$0.53 on the Singapore Exchange. The stock has lost 9 percent so far this year.
