The Singapore flag carrier has launched the all-new Singapore Airlines HighFlyer programme catered towards Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
According to the Singapore Airlines (SIA), this is to get more mileage out of flights on company business in rewarding both corporates and employees when they fly with Singapore Airlines and SilkAir.
SIA explained that corporates will be able to earn HighFlyer points whilst employees continue to earn KrisFlyer miles each time each time one flies with Singapore Airlines or SilkAir.
The programme has no minimum annual travel spend required and corporates will be able to earn points for every S$1 spent on tickets booked through Singapore Airlines' corporate booking platform or an appointed travel agent.
Additionally, firms will be able to choose how or when to redeem the HighFlyer points they earned. They will have an option to offset future ticket purchases partially or in full for flights on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir to more than 100 destinations across 30 countries.
Corporates can inquire their HighFlyer points balance through a self-service web portal. The portal also lets them manage travellers and bookings as well as download e-statements from the airline.
SIA Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing Campbell Wilson said this is part of the airline's trust in forging a great relationship with SMEs.
"The Singapore Airlines HighFlyer programme highlights Singapore Airlines' commitment to constantly enhance the benefits for our corporate clients and business travellers," he said.
Corporates that reach a stipulated annual spend will have the choice of transferring to the Singapore Airlines Corporate Travel Programme, a corporate programme for large businesses to enjoy corporate fares and additional benefits.
