Leader of the Labour party Jeremy Corbyn has said that he will get to the bottom of the Grenfell Tower fire that killed at least 17 people in London on 14 June. Corbyn was visiting a community center being used as a donation point. His visit and comments came on the same day that Prime Minister Theresa May was pictured visiting the site of Grenfell Tower. Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull caught on leaked tape mocking Donald Trump

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull roasted Donald Trump in front of hundreds of journalists on 14 June. North Korea releases detained American college student Otto Warmbier

North Korea has released Otto Warmbier. The University of Virginia undergraduate was detained in North Korea in January 2016 for attempting to steal a slogan banner from the restricted areas of the hotel. He was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor. Warmbier confessed he tried to steal the banner because he was offered a used car worth $10,000. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson announced that the student is on his way back home to Cincinnati. The release comes amid former NBA star Dennis Rodmans return visit to the North Korea, though Rodman claimed the detained Americans are not his purpose. Top US Republican Steve Scalise shot at Virginia baseball field

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and four others were injured when a gunman opened fire on members of Congress practicing for a charity baseball game this morning at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Virginia. Five people were injured in the shooting, including Scalise, R-Louisiana, the House majority whip, as well as the suspect. Scalises office said Scalise was shot in the hip and is undergoing surgery. He is listed in stable condition, his office said. Jun 14, 2017

Michael Gove dismisses talk of UK remaining in the Single Market

Michael Gove has played down concerns that a potential Confidence and Supply agreement between the Conservatives and DUP could undermine the governments impartiality in its dealings with political parties in Northern Ireland. Speaking in Westminster, the newly appointed environment secretary also dismissed talk of the UK remaining in the Single Market, as the government prepares to embark on negotiations with Brussels. Tillerson: Gulf states blockade against Qatar hindering US military actions

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson urged for calm and an ease to the blockade imposed against Qatar by the Arab nations. He said the diplomatic row was causing unintended humanitarian consequences like food shortages, the forced separation of families and children being pulled out of school. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Bahrain and the Western-recognised governments of Libya and Yemen as well as the Maldives cut ties with Doha on 5 June, accusing it of supporting terror groups, including the Islamic State.
