Overview
Myanmar host Vietnam in a Group B encounter of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup in Yangon on 20 November.
The co-hosts, who have assembled a young squad, kickstart their campaign at the Thuwanna Stadium, which will also host the group opener between Malaysia and Cambodia earlier in the day.

The home team were thrashed 3-0 by Oman in their final warm-up match for the biennial tournament on 14 November, which was also the last time they played at the stadium.
Notably, among the eight teams in the tournament, only Myanmar and Cambodia have never reached the semi-final stages of the tournament.
Gerd Zeise's side also have not had a good run-up to the tournament as they have won only one game in their last seven outings.
The German tactician conceded there is considerable pressure on the team as they are playing in front of their home crowd but maintained that it could as well work in their favour.
Notably, with an under-performing Malaysia and Cambodia in their group, Zeise's side will definitely fancy their chances of making to the last-four stages of the tournament.
On the other hand, Vietnam are strong contenders for the semi-final spot from the group after having stitched seven-match unbeaten record since their 1-0 loss to Iraq in the World Cup Qualifier earlier this year.
In the run-up to the tournament, they defeated Indonesia 3-2 before playing out a draw with Japanese side Avispa Fukuoka. The Golden Stars came up with a top-notch performance to beat higher-ranked North Korea 5-2 in October.
They also had a two-week training camp in South Korea, in which they went on to defeat five-time K.League champions FC Seoul.
Coach Nguyen Huu Tang is confident his team can make its mark in the ongoing tournament with a strong show. However, he has rued missing his key playmaker Nguyen Tuan Anh, who has been ruled out due to injury.
