Indonesian police released one of the six terror suspects, who were arrested last Friday, over an alleged rocket attack plan from Batam island on Marina Bay in Singapore.
The Jakarta Post reported that the Riau Islands Police freed 19-year-old Muhammad Tegar Sucianto on Saturday after authorities found no evidence to link him to the plot.
The police interrogated Sucianto for more than 10 hours.
Sucianto's mother, Desi Fitrianti said the police arrested her eldest son when he was about to go to work with Hadi Gusti Yanda. Yanda was also arrested during the raid.
"My son was questioned at the police's Mobile Brigade headquarters. They asked him about the activities of the five [other] people. Of course, my son didn't know about it. He is an ordinary person. I was not informed when he was arrested," Desi told The Jakarta Post.
Sucianto was the youngest of those six arrested last Friday. They were allegedly part of a terrorist group KGR@Katibah GR, led by Gigih Rahmat Dewa, and planned to attack Singapore's Marina Bay.
According to a Reuters report on Sunday, Gigih's plot to launch a rocket attack on Singapore was revealed through their discussion on Facebook and other social media platform.
"Their terrorist action plans were on Facebook... They didn't announce it but they were discussing it — communicating on social media between all the members," said police spokesman Boy Rafli Amar.
