Manchester United have confirmed their midfielder Scott McTominay has committed his future by signing a contract extension at Old Trafford on 20 October.
The 20-year-old has been at United since the age of five and was handed a first team debut by Jose Mourinho last season. The midfielder made his debut against Arsenal at the Emirates at the end of the last season.
McTominay, who made his Champions League debut against Benfica on Wednesday, will see his new deal keep him at the club 2021and has an option of extending it by a year.
"Manchester United is delighted to announce that Scott McTominay has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until June 2021, with the option to extend for a further year," a statement read on United's official website.

The Lancaster-born player went on to express his delight after he made his first team debut and signed a new contract in this calendar year.
"To make my debut at the end of last season was a dream come true, and I would like to thank the manager for the faith that he has shown in me," McTominay told United's official website.
'I was absolutely delighted when the manager promoted me to the first-team squad and I am looking forward to continuing my journey with this fantastic team."
Mourinho explained his decision as to why the academy midfielder, who graduated to the first team was handed a new deal.
"I am delighted Scott has signed a new contract, he is one of our young players that has gone from strength to strength. He made his Premier League debut at the end of last season and made his Champions League debut this season. I had no hesitation in promoting Scott to the first-team squad last month as we have total belief in him," United manager explained.
