A 50-year-old Malaysian man slashed and stabbed his wife for refusing to have sex with him at 4 am. Semporna OCPD Superintendent Peter Umbuas said Norminah Bollok was stabbed several times in their house at Kampung Pinggir Bakau for rejecting her husband's early morning advances. The 38-year-old woman was taken to the Semporna district hospital, but later she died there.

The neighbours told the police that the man had gone into hiding following the incident. "We have launched a hunt for the suspect who fled the house with a bag containing the documents of his children," Superintendent Umbuas told Asia News Network.
The police have recovered a samurai sword believed to be the murder weapon. Based on initial investigations, the police chief said the suspect had woken up early and had gone to the wife's room to have sex. But, when his wife rejected, the man got angry and pulled out the sword to slash her.
The couple's children rushed their mother to the hospital, but their father ran away from the spot. Superintendent Umbuas added that the couple has eight children -- four boys and four girls -- who are aged between 13 and 22.
