American country music singer Jason Aldean has returned to Las Vegas a week after his performance at the Mandalay Bay Resort, where a gunman opened fire on the spectators, resulting in the death of 58 people. The incident happened during the Route 91 Harvest festival, leading the entire country to a state of panic and shock.
Jason Aldean visits the University Medical Center
After reaching Las Vegas, Aldean, along with his wife Brittany Kerr Aldean, visited the University Medical Center. He spent some time with the people who got injured during the shootout. The hospital authorities confirmed the visit of Aldean and expressed gratitude towards the singer through their official Facebook page.
"Our extreme gratitude to Country Music Star Jason Aldean for visiting UMC today. Jason spent time with our patients who were critically injured during the Las Vegas shooting. His visit helped heal hearts and cheer those who were wounded in this tragedy," posted the University Medical Center on their Facebook page.
According to reports, the hospitalized survivors too became happy to see their favorite singer paying a visit during this time of distress.
Brittany Kerr Aldean took to her Instagram and shared some of her photos with Jason Aldean during this emotional visit. The pregnant woman, who is expecting a baby boy in December, called the shooting survivors the strongest people she had ever met in her life. Kerr Aldean also added that the victims are now fighting the toughest battle of all times.
Las Vegas Shooting: A dreaded act of a high-stake gambler
The blood-shedding incident happened during the third day of Route 91 Harvest country music where Jason Aldean was giving the closing performance in the Mandalay Bay Hotel. The shooter Stephen Paddock had occupied a suite on the 32nd floor of the hotel.
During the time of Aldean's performance, Paddock broke the windows of his suite with a hammer and fired on thousands of spectators gathered to enjoy the music show. 58 people died during the attack, while 489 were injured.
After the shootout, police officials found Paddock dead in his suite room by a self-inflicted gunshot on his body.
Even though the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant claimed responsibility for the attack, American investigation agencies have not found any connections between Paddock and the terrorist organization.
