Overview
India will take on New Zealand in the fourth One Day International of the five-match series on 26 October.
MS Dhoni's men clinched a comfortable seven-wicket victory in the the third ODI and have named an unchanged squad for the remaining matches.
Kane Williamson lost the toss for the sixth consecutive time on the tour and his side had to bear the brunt of dew during the later stages of the match in Delhi.
An 84-run stand for the ninth-wicket between James Neesham and Matt Henry helped New Zealand post a competitive 285 on the board. However, Virat Kohli (154*) and skipper Dhoni (80) joined forced and stitched a 151-run stand to make light work of the target on Sunday.
Ross Taylor had yet another bad day as he grassed a sitter, which gave Kohli a reprieve when he was batting on six, before getting out without troubling the scorers. Tom Latham continued his good run with another half-century but the poor form of Martin Guptill at the top is hurting the visitors.
While, New Zealand's inconsistent batting has been letting them down in the ongoing series their bowling effort has been passable. Left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner, despite being economical, has not been able to pick up wickets in the middle.
On the other hand, India have been benefited by part-time spinner Kedar Jadhav, who has picked up six wickets so far. Leg-spinner Amit Mishra and pacer Umesh Yadav have also troubled the New Zealand batsmen often.
While India will look to pocket their first ODI series win at home since November 2014 in Ranchi, which is also the hometown of skipper Dhoni, Williamson would want a better fight from his unit, especially their top-order batsmen, to keep their hopes alive.
