All that we knew until Monday was that Bill Goldberg will fight at Royal Rumble 2017 and Brock Lesnar might be taking him on in the 30-man over-the-top-rope battle, scheduled to be held on 29 January.
However, Paul Heyman confirmed on Monday Night Raw that Lesnar will be part of next year's first Pay-Per-View event, which will be hosted at Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
"If Goldberg is in the Royal Rumble match, then Brock Lesnar is in the Royal Rumble match," Heyman said in a sit-down interview with Michael Cole on 28 November, as quoted on WWE's official Twitter handle.

According to Heyman, Lesnar has been pushed into a situation where he has to put one across Goldberg to prove himself again. Notably, the comeback man made light work of Lesnar in the Survivor Series PPV on 20 November.
The 39-year-old American wrestler just needed two spears and his trademark finishing move, jackhammer, to win the match against Lesnar in little over a minute and announce his arrival in style.
Heyman said Lesnar was "embarrassed and humiliated" by the loss and that it was very difficult to digest. He conceded that both Lesnar and himself took Goldberg "lightly".
"This is part of Brock Lesnar's legacy, that he got beaten in a minute and 26 seconds. He has dealt with loses before. I have been through his ups and downs. But this is embarrassing. And it has put brock in the mindset that he has something to prove," the advocate said.
The match-up between Lesnar and Goldberg will now be among the most anticipated clashes of next year. Also, Royal Rumble is likely to witness Goldberg, who will enter the ring first, being taken out early by Lesnar.
Then, there is a possibility of them fighting again at Wrestlemania 33, to be held in April next year, which will pave way for huge hype over the event as it is up to Lesner now to gun for revenge.
Goldberg has also agreed to extend his deal, at least until Wrestlemania 33, as he spent very minimum time at the PPV event last Sunday.
