Home United take on Global FC in the zonal semi-final second leg of 2017 AFC Cup at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore on Tuesday.

The S.League side are heading into the tie with an edge over their Philippines Football League counterparts on away goals as Home came back from behind in Manila to hold Global to a 2-2 draw earlier this month.

In the first leg, the Protectors conceded as early as in the 15th minute but midfielder Adam Swandi brought them back into the game before the break. They once again fell back as Amani Aguinaldo put the then hosts in the lead in the 52nd minute. However, in-form Stipe Plazibat stepped up in the injury time to net the crucial equaliser, which has given Home a two-goal cushion.

Apart from Plazibat, who has set the season on fire with 20 goals in all competitions so far, Protectors also have the likes of Faris Ramli, Song Ui Young, who have been consistently finding the back of the net for them.

Notably, Sharin's side warmed up to Tuesday's all-important tie by crushing 2015 league champions Brunei DPMM 9-3 last Thursday. While Plazibat netted a brace, Ramli scored four alongside Mohammad Kamal, Adam Swandi and Song's strikes.

Global, who are heading into the match on the back of a 3-1 league win over Kaya last Wednesday, have a tough task ahead of them in containing the in-form Home frontline. Missing Aguinaldo, who is suspended for the clash, will affect their back-line but the return of Wesley Dos Santos is a timely boost to the visitors.
