Home United host Brunei DPMM in their 10th league game of 2017 S.League season at the Bishan Stadium on Thursday.

The hosts are heading into the match on the back of beating strugglers Garena Young Lions 2-1 on the road on Sunday. With their AFC Cup zonal semi-final second leg against Global FC scheduled for Tuesday, a win at home today will help boost the Protectors' morale.

On the other hand, Brunei ended their four-match losing streak in their last league match on 13 May, but there were not able to clinch three full points against last-placed Young Lions.

2015 champions Brunei have been struggling in the ongoing season with only one win from eight matches. The Wasps, with four points, will be hoping to put an end to their horrid league run and a win against in-form Home to start the second round will do their confidence a lot of good.

Despite having last season's top-scorer Rafael Ramazotti in their ranks, Steve Kean's men have scored seven goals, only three more than Balestier Khalsa, who have scored the least in the tournament this season. The onus will be on the Brazilian striker, who scored during their early-season 3-1 loss to Home in March, to deliver today.

On the other hand, Home would want three points to close in the gap on leaders Albirex Niigata, who have 25 points, five more than Aidil Sharin's men. The hosts though will be without defender Sirina Camara but they will welcome Singapore custodian Hassan Sunny, who missed their last match with an injury.
