Singapore celebrated its 52nd National Day on August 9 with great grandeur. Amid hightened security, Singaporeans enjoyed National Day Parade (NDP) at The Float @ Marina Bay with a lot of fireworks.

More than 5,000 personnel from the SAF, police and Singapore Civil Defence Force were involved in managing the security. Among them were personnel from the Special Operations Command and Emergency Response Teams.

The 3 and a half hour long spectacle also featured the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Red Lions parachuters, a simulated terrorist attack, a display featuring 300 unmanned drones, and a five-minute fireworks display. The celebration saw innumerable happy faces with expectations for their country. But, not only this, the residents also celebrated Singapore's birthday on Twitter by tweeting their emotions on the social media.
