Halloween is knocking on the door. Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan's East Village in New York was buzzing this weekend with hundreds of spectators watching the 27th annual dog parade.
Hundreds of dogs along with their owners walked the ramp and posed for the shutterbugs. Each of them tried to dress up in unique ways to catch the limelight. Many of the participants prepared for weeks and spent sizeable amounts on hiring stylists and costume designers to dress their canine companions.
The competition had a slew of dog costumes including costumes like cotton candy and food grill to more creative ones such as a dog kissing booth, Pacman and Eleven from popular Netflix show "Stranger Things."
The theme of 2017 hurricane relief was also taken into account. A dog was dressed as "Donald Drump," with a black coat, and had a message that read "Hurricane Relief." While, another was one dressed up as an alien.
Be it the "Game of Thrones" or the "Ghostbursters", Wolf of Wall Street or American pie, the show had it all. In this gallery, IBTimes Singapore, brings you a series of images that will give a glance of the famous Tompkins Square Park halloween dog parade.
