Nature is a blend of everything beautiful, exciting, cruel and tender. It never fails to amaze us and it did not disappoint Brisbane man Tony Morrison this time.

He captured a horrific video of a giant python swallowing a whole bat while the bat kept on fighting till his last breath.

The video was captured in Brisbane, Australia and shows how the two deadly predators are locked in a combat while hanging from a tree.

The bat is seen tightly grasped by the python who refuses to give up. However, an hour later the non-venomous python finally gives up and drops the winged creature to the ground.

Carpet pythons are mainly found in trees and shrubs but also move on open grounds like forest floors and rocky surfaces. The average size of an adult carpet python is 6.6ft but it can grow up to 13 ft.

The video was captured by Tony Morrison who posted the same on his Facebook page Redland's Snake Catcher. The snake seems to be confused and does not know what to do with the wings of the bat.

"It couldn't get past the wings, so after half an hour he just dropped the bat on the ground," Morrison told Mail Online.

He further stated that it is easy to spot carpet python in that particular area and they are absolutely not a threat to the humans.

The snake was later moved down the road, in a bush as it was in the path which is generally taken by school kids.

"We eventually moved the snake down the road into bushland, because it was in an area where kids would cross to get to school," Morrison added.
