FC Rostov defeated Sparta Praha 5-1 on aggregate in the Europa League round of 32 clash, which saw them make it to the last16 of the competition. They made it to the second tier of the European club competition after being demoted from the Champions League.
Ivan Daniliants' side finished third in their group behind, leaders Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich. Rostov managed to beat the German club 3-2 at home during the group stages of the Champions League.
United enter this tie after settling for a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth. Zlatan Ibrahimovic's missed penalty and few incidents during the game were the talking points of the match.
