As speculations regarding the rogue planet Nibiru, alias Planet X, are gripping the world, a powerful earthquake measuring 6.9 on Richter scale has hit Tibet near the Indo-China border. According to the China Earthquake Networks Centre, the quake struck at a depth of about 10 kilometers in the early hours of Saturday.

Soon after the quake, the United States Geological survey revealed that the epicenter of the quake was within 150 miles of the Indian towns of Along, Pasighat, and Tezu.

Even though an earthquake measuring 6.9 on Richter scale is considered very strong by seismologists, no casualties or damages have been reported so far from the affected area.

In the meantime, strong earthquakes occurred close to Guayaquil, Ecuador, on November 17, 2017. The earthquake in Ecuador has been recorded 5.2 on the Richter scale. As of now, no significant damages or injuries have been reported.

Nibiru causing the earthquakes?

Conspiracy theorists all around the world believe that it is the close approach of the rogue planet Nibiru which is resulting in the increased number of seismic activities all around the world. According to these theorists, the gravitational pull of Nibiru is huge and it has already destabilized the planetary orbits of our solar system. A group of conspiracy theorists also claims that Earth will be hit by the Planet X on November 19, causing mass extinction.

On the other hand, Christian numerologist David Meade, one of the most popular Nibiru theorists in the world, claim that the apocalypse has already begun on October 15, and the world is now going through a seven-year tribulation period. He also believes that the planet will witness natural disasters including earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions during this seven-year period.

In the midst of these speculations, NASA has continuously denied the existence of Planet X, calling it an Internet hoax. According to the world's leading space agency, Nibiru would have been visible to our naked eyes if it is there in the sky.

As people are very much concerned about a possible hit, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was forced to release a statement making it clear that they are ready to cover us if something unimaginable happens. In an exclusive talk with Newsweek, FEMA told that they will partner with NASA to develop guidance on preparing for any potential impacts to Earth from natural space objects.

"Upon notification from NASA of an impending impact threat to the United States, FEMA would take the lead to notify appropriate federal, state and local authorities and emergency response institutions", the FEMA Spokesperson told Newsweek.
