Moscow police's investigation into the bizarre death of a Russian woman, who fell into a chocolate tank and was subsequently died, is left hanging in the air after witnesses gave varied accounts of the accident.
The 24-year-old woman, identified as Svetlana Roslina, slipped and fell into a tank of molten chocolate at the confectionery plant where she worked on 14 December. The tragic incident happened in Sergiev-Posad confectionery factory in Fedortsovo, just before the Christmas holidays.
While some accounts said that she slipped in the tanked while emptying sacks of ingredients into the giant mixer, others said that she was trying to retrieve her mobile phone which fell into the vat. 'She was minced, only her legs were left,' said a co-worker, according to the Metro.
The news of the Roslina's horrific death came as a shock to her husband Vladimir. She also leaves two young children aged under five.
According to Daily Mail, a local resident said, "At 6pm there were police cars and a hearse...People are saying that she dropped her phone in the tank and tried to get it but was dragged in there...only her legs were sticking out."
