Coldplay to stage first ever concert in Korea; How to book tickets for April 15 show

Coldplay, the famous British rock band, is all set to stage their first ever concert in South Korea in April next year, as part of the band's Asia Tour. The event, hosted by Hyundai Card, will be held at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in Jamsil, Southern Seoul, on April 15.

"We're happy to announce Coldplay's first Korean performance through the Hyundai Card Super Concert that has been long-awaited by many fans," a Hyundai Card official told Korea Portal.

"We plan to combine Coldplay's fantastic music and top-tier visual effects throughout the whole concert to make a combined art platform," the official added. The ticket price for the performance ranges from 44,000 won ($37.48) to 154,000 won ($131.18).

The Hyundai Card members can start reserving their tickets through Interpark or Yes24 from 12 pm on November 23, while the regular members can book their tickets from 12 pm on November 24 using the same online sites.

Hyundai Card holders will get a 20 percent discount when they buy a ticket with the card company's M Point. Apart from Korea, Coldplay will also perform in Singapore (April 1), the Philippines (April 4), Taiwan (April 12), and Japan (April 19).

The four-member British band was formed in 1996 and has enjoyed huge popularity worldwide. It has received a number of Grammy Awards and has sold some 80 million albums across the globe.

Impressive melodies and fantastic stage production are the key qualities of Coldplay. The band is known for two of its best tracks title "Fix You" and "Viva La Vida."
