Chelsea have confirmed their forward Patrick Bamford has left Stamford Bridge temporarily and joined Premier League side Burnley on a season-long loan deal.
The Blues sealed their third win of the 2016/17 campaign and that came against Sean Dyche's side at Stamford Bridge. The west London club have now allowed their player go out on another loan spell, this time to Turf Moor.
Bamford was sent out on loan to Milton Keynes Dons, Derby County, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and Norwich City in the past. The 22-year-old will now be at Burnley until the end of the season and will continue his development there.
"Patrick Bamford has today joined Burnley on loan until the end of the season," a statement read on Chelsea's official website.
"The 22-year-old forward will spend the campaign in the Premier League with the newly promoted Clarets, who were beaten 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday."
"Bamford arrived at Chelsea in 2012 from Nottingham Forest, becoming an England Under-21 international in late 2013 before an excellent season on loan with Middlesbrough in which he won the Championship Player of the Year award.
"He also has Premier League experience with Crystal Palace and Norwich City last season," it added.
Bamford remains hopeful he can impress Antonio Conte with his display for the Clarets. The Italian manager was appointed as the new Chelsea manager earlier this year and he took charge at the club following his commitment with the national side at the European championship in France.
