Arsenal enter this fixture after registering a comfortable 3-1 victory over AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League clash. Alexis Sanchez was the star player for the Gunners as his brace sandwiched between Theo Walcott's goal sealed three points for Arsene Wenger's side.
In the last two EFL Cup fixtures, the north London side have defeated Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest, where they scored six goals and kept two clean sheets in the process. The Frenchman will be looking for another comfortable victory at home.
It is for the first time that Arsenal will play the EFL Cup tie at home this season. A victory would help them seal a berth in the last four of the competition. Liverpool and Hull City have made it to the semi-final.
