Overview:

Al Jaish host Air Force Club in the 2016 AFC Cup quarter-final second leg at the Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Stadium, Doha on 20 September.

The visitors will be wary of the fact they had let the Syrian side score a goal away from home in the first leg. Air Force Club were at the brink of a defeat at home after Al Jaish took the lead in the 60th minute of the game of 13 September. However, a stoppage time time goal from striker Hammadi Ahmed helped the hosts seal a crucial draw.

After topping their group with five wins from six matches, Air Force Club have looked impressive in their debut appearance at the AFC Cup. Ahmed, who is also the tournament's leading scorer with 13 goals, has played a crucial role to their side's campaign. The 26-year-old has scored in all games the Iraqi side has played in the tournament.

Ahmed will be crucial to their side's chances on Tuesday, as the visitors look to become the only second Iraqi team after Arbil to reach the semi-final of AFC Cup. Air Force Club also have had a good away record in the tournament so far scoring 10 goals and conceding five.

On the other hand, Al Jaish will be pleased to go into Tuesday's tie with an away goal. Their ability to be decisive in the second leg will be tested as they have had a poor goal-scoring record in the ongoing tournament. The champions of the inaugural edition in 2004 have managed to score only seven goals including the two they have scored so far in the knockout stages.

However, the Syrian side have been extremely organised at the back. They have conceded only four goals in the tournament, three of which were scored by Bahraini side Al Muharraq in the group stages.

It will be interesting to see how Ahmed-led Air Force's club attack fares against the hosts' impressive defense as the Iraqi side are in the backseat after having conceded an away goal.
