Struggling Gunners face uphill task against City on Sunday Reuters

Arsenal take on Manchester City in the second semi-final of 2016/17 FA Cup at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners reached the semi-final of the tournament by decimating National League side Lincoln City 5-0 last month. The Sky Blues, on the other hand, edged past Middlesbrough 2-0 on the road on 11 March to book a place in the last-four stages.

All eyes will be on Arsene Wenger as the Frenchman will be looking to save his club future by winning the FA Cup, which has been his most successful competition as he has helped the Gunners win six titles in the past, as the his team is in danger of losing out on top-four finish in the Premier League.

With 57 points from 31 games, Arsenal are placed seventh in the league table, seven points behind fourth-placed City, who had beaten them in December and held them 2-2 in their last league meeting earlier this month.

Wenger will be missing the services of Shkodran Mustafi, Danny Welbeck, Lucas Perez, David Ospina and Santi Cazorla for today's game at the Wembley and their recent form, two losses and a draw in their last five games, does make their opponents, City, the favourites to set up a meeting with Chelsea next month.

Guardiola's men have been boosted by the return of skipper Vincent Kompany and they head into the game on the back of a 3-0 win over Southampton on the road last Saturday. While John Stones and Bacary Sagna are out with injuries, the availability of fit-again Gabriel Jesus is good news for the visitors today.
