Overview

Liverpool have had a mixed start to 2017 as they have managed only two wins in the Premier League, which came against Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal at Anfield. In the same period, they have suffered defeats at the hands of Swansea City, Hull City and Leicester City.

Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to avoid another defeat at the hands of the team sitting at the bottom half of the table. A victory on Sunday will see the Reds close the gap with the second and third place, Tottenham and Manchester City.

Burnely registered a 2-0 victory over the Merseyside club earlier in the season with Sam Vokes and Andre Gray getting their names on the scoresheet in the tie that took place at Turf Moor in August 2016.

Sean Dyche will be hoping to emulate a similar performance when they visit Anfield to face the Reds. A victory will see the Clarets move to the top half of the table and also end their five match winless streak.
