Arsenal have confirmed they have completed the signing of non-league defender Coren Bramall from Hednesford Town in the Northern League Premier Division.
The left-back had trials at Crystal Palace, Sheffield Wednesday and finally at the north London club. He impressed at all three clubs and finally decided to join the Gunners, where he will feature for their Under-23 side and will play under Steve Gatting.
A statement on Arsenal's official website read, "We have signed young left-back Cohen Bramall from Hednesford Town in the Northern League Premier Division. Cohen has come through non-league football and played with Market Drayton last season. We'd like to welcome Cohen to the club."
Bramall worked in a car factory at Bentley Motors from the Crewe plant. He has played for seven non-league clubs, before attracting interest from top flight clubs in England. The defender will be keen on impressing at Arsenal in order to find his way to the first team.
The 20-year-old revealed he was surprised when his agent made him aware of Arsenal's interest in offering him a trial. He is still in awe to train alongside the star players at the Emirates club, something he only adored them on the television until he arrived at Arsenal.
"My mouth dropped, I looked at my agent. It was a pretty emotional response really. I just couldn't believe it... couldn't believe it. I just thought 'yes!'" Bramall told Arsenal's official website.
"It's mental because you're there watching Match of the Day and then the next minute you're there on the same pitch as Alexis, Ozil, Giroud and Petr Cech. It still hasn't hit me now and I don't know when it will hit me. But like I say, I know I've got to take the opportunity."
