Arsene Wenger slotted Olivier Giroud's stunning back heel, which has been labelled as "scorpion goal", among his favourites in his 21-year-reign at the Premier League club Arsenal.
Giroud took the football fraternity by storm when he used his left heel to tap a cross from Alexis Sanchez from behind his body over his head, which bulged the net after disturbing the crossbar as well. Arsenal got back among the Premier League top-three as Alex Iwobi doubled the lead in the second half to hand his team a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at home on 1 January.
Wenger was all praise for the Frenchman, who has developed the knack of scoring crucial goals for Arsenal this season. Giroud's stunner on Sunday, which was also his fifth league goal of the ongoing season, is a work of art and as good as the ones scored by Gunners' legends Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp, according to the 67-year-old tactician.

"He [Giroud] transformed that goal into art. It was art because of the surprise, because of the beauty of the movement and because of the efficiency of the movement. That will be remembered as the Giroud goal that nobody will forget," Wenger said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
'Every striker is remembered for one or two or three special goals and that will certainly remain with him for ever. I've been spoiled in my career. I've had many great players and great strikers and that is certainly in the top five. Bergkamp at Leicester and Newcastle, Thierry Henry against Real Madrid and Liverpool, Kanu at Chelsea. It's difficult for me not to forget goals when you score 70 or 80 a year."
