Ronaldinho revealed that he is good to go for one more year before retiring from international football.
The World Cup-winning Brazilian midfielder recently joined his former club Barcelona as the first-team ambassador after missing out on competitive football since he left Fluminense in 2015. The 36-year-old had led the Spanish side to two La Liga titles (2004/05, 2005/06) and a Champions League crown in 2005/06 season. He became a force at La Liga before making his debut for the Serie A side AC Milan in the 2008/09 season.
Ronaldinho, who faced exclusions from the 2010 and 2014 Fifa World Cup squads, was also constantly linked to football leagues in the United States, China and India. The two-time Ballon d'Or winner's decision comes months after he said he has no plans to hang up his boots in the near future.
However, Ronaldinho now wants to focus on music and said it is difficult for him to choose a defining moment from his illustrious career.
"I'm old. I'm 36 years old, I'm not 26 anymore and I'm looking at what I want to do when I finish my career," Ronaldinho was quoted as saying by Football Italia.
"The idea is to play for another year. I'm involved in new projects, related to music and football. As you know, they're my two great passions.
"It was a dream life. I won everything. It's impossible to choose a [specific] moment."
