A bomb exploded on a train in Thailand's southern town of Pattani on Saturday, killing one railway worker and injuring at least three people, the police said.
Police Captain, Promote Juichouy, said the bomb was hidden under rail tracks in Khok Pho district of Pattani. He also said the last carriage was half destroyed in the explosion that blew a big hole under the track.
The train was heading to Bangkok when the explosion took place. A female passenger and two train workers were wounded in the blast.
No one has claimed the responsibility for the attack yet.
The blast comes a day after the peace talks between Thailand's military government and Muslim separatists.
The Thai government and Muslim separatists ended their peace talks on Friday with an agreement to meet again after the insurgents denied the responsibility for a series of bombings that took place last month at tourist towns in the country.
The insurgency which prevails in the Muslim-majority southern provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat is quite old. According to the independent monitoring group Deep South Watch, the attacks have claimed lives of more than 6,500 people since 2004.
The train explosion occurred three weeks after a series of explosions struck Thailand's three most popular tourist resorts and a town in the south. The series of blasts killed four people and wounded scores of people.
