A Hawaiian Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Tokyo late on Wednesday, following a similar incident in Japan earlier this month, an official said on Thursday.
Flight HA 442 bound for Honolulu made an emergency landing at Narita International Airport outside Tokyo at 10.53 pm (13:53 GMT) due to oil pressure abnormality.
An official at Narita Airport Corporation said the police discovered an abnormality with the hydraulics system of the Boeing 767 aircraft.
He added that there was no report of any injury and all the 248 passengers and crew members on board the flight were safe.
"It is not clear whether there was in fact a problem or that signs indicating a possible problem came on," the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told AFP.
The Tokyo office of the airlines could not comment immediately.
This was the second emergency landing by Hawaiian Airlines in Japan in about 10 days. Flight HA 458 landed at Haneda airport in Tokyo after its cockpit signs indicated a potential problem with its hydraulics system.
