Former President Bill Clinton lauded his wife Hillary Clinton after she became Democratic Party's presidential nominee, saying she was "the best darn change-maker I have met in my entire life".

During his speech in Democratic Party convention in Philadelphia, Clinton said, "If you were sitting where I am sitting and you have heard what I have heard at every dinner conversation, every lunch conversation, every long walk, you would say this woman has never been satisfied with the status quo in anything. She always wants to move the ball forward, that is just who she is."

Earlier on Tuesday, Hillary Clinton became the first woman to win presidential nomination for a major political party in United States.

After a tough battle with Sanders during the state nominating contests, Clinton is now the party's standard-bearer against Republican nominee Donald Trump in the November 8 election.

HILLARY HAS FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA BY HER SIDE

Recently, US First Lady Michelle Obama praised Hillary for her determination and hard work and said she is the person truly qualified to be the president of the United States.

"In this election, there is only one person who I trust with that responsibility, only one person who I believe is truly qualified to be president of the United States and that is our friend Hillary Clinton," said Michelle Obama.

Michelle Obama also derided Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump without taking his name. She ridiculed his behaviour and temperament calling him 'cruel' and a 'bully'.

Hillary Clinton is already at loggerheads with Donald Trump over The United States presidential election of 2016.
