M1 on Thursday unveiled its new 2-year SIM-only plans as the telecom firm grows in its efforts to tap data hungry customers.
M1 said it will launch a range of new mySIMe plans with handset subsidies, with the entry-level tier starting with 5GB data, 100 minutes of voice calls and 100 SMS/MMS for S$40 a month, the company said in a press release.
For extensive data users, mySIMe plans also include unlimited data, talk time and SMS/MMS at S$118 per month.
Users can opt for these new two-year plans through any M1 shop, distributor, or online at www.m1.com.sg.
With its latest offering, M1 joins other rival telecom players such StarHub and Singtel, which recently announced unlimited postpaid plans to tempt customers.
StarHub's two-year plan includes unlimited outgoing calls and local data usage of up to 5GB for a cost S$88 per month, including unlimited weekend data, where customers will be able to surf, stream, social network and more to their hearts' content without having to worry about incurring excess data charges.
Singtel's Combo 3 offers unlimited outgoing calls and SMS/MMS and 3GB local data at S$68.90.
Shares in M1 were down 0.6 percent at S$1.79 on the Singapore Exchange.
