Every year, World Arthritis Day is celebrated on October 12 across the globe to raise awareness about rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs), which are a leading cause of disability. The global initiative was established in 1996 by Arthritis and Rheumatism International (ARI). This year, the theme of World Arthritis Day is 'Don't Delay, Connect Today'. The theme aims at showing support to those who are fighting hard to combat this ailment.
