Sing Post Mall, which is located near Paya Labar MRT station in Singapore, has sophisticated itself after two years and has become a five-storeyed shopping mall with more than 130 stores. The shopping center is being managed by real estate company Capital land.
The revamped mall houses tenants like "The General Post office (GPO)" one of the island's largest smart post office with a flagship of philatelic store, NTUC fair price supermarket which is an authenticated lab for innovative retail technologies, Golden Village complex, the first cinema hall to have smart laser technology and the return of UPOT's popular Taiwanese hot pot, along with Gong Cha's flagship outlet tea chain.
The NTUC fair supermarket is 23,000 sq ft shop offering its customers a glimpse of uninterrupted shopping. There are also many pilot initiatives taken by this supermarket in order to regularise buying groceries, including the introduction of FairPrice @SingPost mobile app. This app, which is available on both Android and Apple, allows its customers to check on availability of stock and list of shopping products along with in-store navigation.
Moreover, the store houses self-checkout counters that can easily be converted into cashier manned counters during high traffic periods.
The mall also provides its customers with a Scan2Go system, which is the fastest way to buy things. This system requires a handset to scan each item as you shop. This system is also available at Bukit Timah Plaza outlet.
"This technology-driven supermarket will serve as a 'living lab' to pilot new and innovative retail technologies, designed to revolutionize the grocery shopping experience," said NTUC Fair Price Chief executive, Seah Kian Peng.
