Everton star Romelu Lukaku's father, Roger Lukaku has publicly urged the striker to join Premier League giants Manchester United or Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
The Belgium international was one of the few brightest prospects in the Merseyside club's disappointing season, 25 goals in all competitions, which includes 18 league goals. His form for the Toffees has attracted interest from the Red Devils, while the Bundesliga winners are also reportedly keen on making an approach for his services.
Lukaku Sr believes a move to either Old Trafford or the Allianz Arena will be perfect for his son, especially with a switch to Germany will see him challenging on all fronts next season as United missed out on the Champions League.
"Right now, I think the most suitable clubs for him are Bayern Munich or Manchester United," Lukaku Sr told Belgium publication Het Nieuwsblad, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
"Especially Bayern as the club every year are at least in the semi finals of the Champions League, and the Bundesliga suits him perfectly. I do not think he will go to Italy because the game is far too closed at the back.
Should United or Bayern make an approach, they need to act quickly as the star striker looks to complete the transfer before the European championship, which is set to take place next month in France.
Lukaku is set to leave Everton in the summer and his father revealed that the Goodison Park outfit are asking for a transfer fee of £65m to part ways with their player. The 23-year-old's father, however, stressed out that the final decision on Lukaku's next destination lies with the hitman's agent Mino Raiola.
"Everton are asking around £65m for Rom. I think a transfer will be done before the Euros," he explained.
"Now, with Romelu it will be quickly arranged. Whether the transfer has been sorted? Almost. I think it will be in place before the European Championship.
"I hope and believe that Mino Raiola (Lukaku's agent) is fair, and that he is acting in the best interest of the player.
"Romelu will decide his future, but agents have the last word most of the time. I hope and I think Mino Raiola is a honest man."
