China confirms second human bird flu infection; stops poultry sales

China's national health authority said on Monday that the country reported a total of 37 human deaths from H7N9 bird flu in the month of May, up from 24 in April.

According to a statement posted on the website of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, 72 cases of human infection cases from H7N9 bird flu were reported during May.
