The Isle of Wight Festival 2017 has finally come to an end for this year with a few unforgettable performances, especially from the legendary Sir Rod Stewart. Although, there were security concerns, but, the event passed without any issue.
Almost 50,000 revellers were a part of this well-known festival to witness the performances from the likes of Bastille, Clean Bandit, The Vamps, George Ezra, Imelda May and The Strypes. Scouting for Girls performed on Sunday to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their first Isle of Wight Festival appearance.
Long queues have been experienced at the campsite as security was stepped up, with metal detectors at every gate as well as explosives detection dogs and armed police. In response to the recent terror attacks, the police said that they were providing a "heightened presence" at the event at Seaclose Park, Newport.
