England take on old rivals Scotland in a Group F fixture of 2018 Fifa World Cup Qualifier at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Saturday.

The Three Lions are heading into the tie on the back of a 2-0 win over Lithuania at the Wembley in March, which saw them go clear of second-placed Slovakia by four points with 13 in the group. On the other hand, Gordon Strachan's side stunned third-placed Slovenia 1-0 to keep up the pressure on the second and third-placed sides.

England are well-placed to earn an automatic qualifying berth to Russia from Group F after having won four of their first five encounters. After the Scotland game, Gareth Southgate's men have only got away games against lower-ranked Malta and Lithuania and home games against Slovakia and Slovenia.

Despite scoring only eight goals, England have not conceded yet in the ongoing campaign and Scotland have to work hard to get past the English defence today. Notably, Scotland were blanked 3-0 in the reverse fixture at the Wembley last year with goals for Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and Gary Cahill.

Having not beaten England in their last three meetings, under-fire Scotland manager Strachan faces more pressure as he heads into tonight's home game. He will have to bank on Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths, who sat out during their training session on Monday, to deliver the goods.

While both sides have a fully-fit squad to choose from, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will lead England for the first time. While the fatigue due to a long league season might be an area of concern, Southgate's men are favourites to come home with three points.
